About ThinkFactory

From audacious drama and comedy programming to outstanding historical projects, and more, Thinkfactory Media has continued to distinguish itself as a full-service production company that creates high-quality entertainment content. Based in Los Angeles, the company was founded by Emmy-nominated producer Leslie Greif, and is one of the few production entities that has created award-winning programming in virtually every genre of television, including features, unscripted series, scripted series, documentaries, mini-series, movies-of-the-week, concerts and other specials.

Thinkfactory Media was the driving force behind the three-night mini-series event Hatfields & McCoys (History), starring Kevin Costner and Bill Paxton, which set ratings records and garnered 16 Emmy® nominations, including a nod for Outstanding Mini-Series or Movie. All three nights ranked as the top three entertainment television telecasts of all time in ad-supported cable history among total viewers. Recent successes include the scripted period drama Sun Records (CMT), spotlighting Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and record company pioneer Sam Phillips, which attracted nearly 3 million fans, making the network the most watched night of CMT originals in the channel’s history; the 10-hour television event Texas Rising (History), rustling up the story behind the fabled Texas Rangers; the biopic Surviving Compton: Dre, Suge and Michel’le (Lifetime), revisiting a turbulent chapter in 1980s hip-hop; Million Dollar Matchmaker (WE tv), starring relationship expert Patti Stanger; and Mama June: From Not to Hot (WE tv), following the whole-life transformation of Honey Boo Boo matriarch June Shannon, which opened with 2.3 million viewers making it the highest series premiere ever for WE tv.
