On Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars, a husband and wife marriage counseling team put five reality star pairs through intense emotional and physical exercises, drills and games. But will they work on the chaotic couples?
Some of these exercises were so intense that The Bachelorette’s Trista Sutter admitted to HollywoodLife.com that she’s not looking forward to seeing herself “ugly cry” on television. Sounds like a recipe for television gold!
Although the boot camp was emotionally draining, Trista revealed that her marriage wasn’t in trouble prior to the show — quite the opposite actually.
“We had a lot of phone calls with the producers and talking about what the show would be about and decided that we really wanted to show viewers that you don’t have to be in a bad place to want to do something good for your marriage,” Trista shared EXCLUSIVELY. “You can be in a really good place, and want to improve.”
Despite their marriage being in stable condition before the show, Trista revealed one reoccurring problem in their relationship — forgiveness.
She explains that her and Ryan have to “continuously” forgive each other for things that have happened in the past. “In an evolving relationship, you need to actually continuously forgive, over and over and over again. So that was a really important lesson for us,” said Trista, who famously met Ryan on The Bachelorette when he was a contestant during her season.
And as for bonding with the other couples in the house? Trista told us that she still keeps in touch with Jenni “JWOWW” Farley and her fiance Roger Matthews.
Fans of Jersey Shore and Snooki & JWOWW have seen Jenni and Roger go head-to-head in arguments many times. And get ready for some more.
Despite these screaming matches, Jenni revealed to us that they wanted to work their major issues out before their wedding.
“I feel like every couple could use some help in how to deal with relationships,” Jenni told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “When you think about marriage, you think about forever. And obviously, anyone could use help when you’re dealing with forever.”
However, the stress of the intense emotional and physical challenges started to get to Jenni — especially when she found out she was pregnant the week before filming started!
Jenni and Roger decided to keep the new pregnancy a secret during the show, but Jenni admitted that she was worried she was going to throw up in the middle of a confrontation and that she wouldn’t be able to handle the stress.
