Marriage Boot Camp producer Thinkfactory Media is launching a pod deal-focused incubator division entitled ‘Incufactory,’ to be led by executive VP Adam Reed, realscreen can reveal.
The branch is to specialize in pod deals – which will make Thinkfactory Media responsible for any show that sells – and will use the company’s resources in creative, development, production and legal as well as networking relationships for new Incufactory projects. The division will also provide “better structured deals and shared credit,” and promises to offer partners more than just an executive producer title.
“The goal is, ultimately, to create opportunities that help individual executive producers and show creators and runners to incubate not only television projects, but their own companies,” the company said in a statement.
The first, recently finalized Incufactory pod deal is with Ten2One Entertainment’s Phil Thornton and Paul Coy Allen, who previously collaborated with Thinkfactory Media on R&B Divas.
“Over the years we’ve identified with Adam Reed and Leslie Greif’s ability to develop and produce quality entertainment across the board,” said Ten2One’s Thornton and Allen in a joint statement. “This new venture will provide great opportunities for both sides.”
Reed added: “We are extremely excited to be looking for and partnering with new and up-and-coming talent for the opportunity to help them grow into thriving content creators. Opening this branch of the company will allow focused synergy between the entire team at Thinkfactory and the Incufactory pods, which we anticipate will result in increased series reaching the air.”
